Masooma Bhaiwala, OPEN Charter Member

 

Masooma Bhaiwala is the Design Director at AMD (Advance Micro Devices) and leads the design and development of customized computer chips for specific customers. She has extensive semi-conductor experience. Masooma is a Charter member of OPEN and also involved with Saheli (Organization for the empowerment of South Asian women)   and TCF (The Citizen’s foundation – non-profit for education).

Pernian Faheem
 

Pernian Faheem is a Retail Lead at the Social, Mobile and Gamification, SMG practice at NTT Data Inc. As Retail Lead at SMG, she is responsible for curating new technology and social media ideas for the retail and consumer product industries and generating demand for NTT Data's service offerings in those sectors. Pernian is also a fashion entrepreneur and founder of "è mio Pernia," a bespoke tailored clothing brand that provides high-end custom tailored professional wear for women in the US. She partners with young, emerging designers in Pakistan to create unique collections that are showcased on an e-commerce platform. Pernian is a alumni of Mills College and Wellesley College and she has been an OPEN New England Executive Committee member since July 2013. 

Natasha Qidwai

 

Natasha works as a Business Analyst for Alere Analytics, a global health IT company, where she is responsible for assisting with the design, development, deployment, application, and management of information technology/operational projects. In addition, she is also responsible for documenting, analyzing, automating, and improving current processes and procedures for driving technology development in line with company growth and needs. She recently graduated from Brandeis University in May 2014 where she studied Economics, Computer Science, and Women's & Gender Studies. While at Brandeis, Natasha was the Co-Pesident of the South Asian Students Association, the Vice President of BITMAP (Brandeis Initiative for Technology, Machines, Applications, and Programming), a Residential Advisor, and a Technology Assistant at the Brandeis University International Business School's Technology Department. 

Anisa Mohammed
 

Anisa Mohammed is a Regulatory Scientist at Voisin Consulting Life Sciences where she is responsible for the design and implementation of innovative drug/biologic development strategies and the preparation of regulatory submissions for clients in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. Anisa was previously at Takeda Pharmaceuticals (formerly Millennium: The Takeda Oncology Company) working in Global Translational Medicine. She is actively involved in the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) serving on the Ambassador and Membership Committees in the Boston Chapter. Anisa is pursuing her Master’s in Biotechnology at Harvard University and obtained her Bachelor’s in Pharmaceutical and Health Care Business from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. 

Amna Bukhari

 

Amna Bukhari is the Marketing Manager at Oficio (Boston Coworking). She's also a local artist whose work has been showcased at galleries & events and can be seen at dab-art.com. She has an extensive background in marketing project management, creative strategy, and design. Outside of her profession, Amna has recently volunteered with OPEN. For the past 7 years, she has been an active member and event coordinator for the local Boston chapter of MCSS Food Drive.

Zahra Bhaiwala
 

Zahra is currently a summer intern in the Polio Eradication department at the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva, Switzerland before starting at the Harvard School of Public Health, where she is pursuing a Masters of Science in International Health Economics and Health Systems. She graduated from Columbia University in May with degrees in Biological Sciences and Middle Eastern Politics. She has worked in Department of Health Economics and Outcomes Research at Pfizer, Inc., and as an undergraduate researcher in the Department of Neurosurgery and Neuropathology at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons and in the Department of Genetics at Harvard Medical School. At Columbia, she was the Chair of Global Health, Editor in Chief of the Columbia Undergraduate Science Journal, and a GED tutor at Rikers Island Prison. She is also a founding member of "The Muslim Protagonist," the first three-day conference bringing together American-Muslim literary professionals.
